About Us

The Louis Grant Medical Centre, formerly the Foundation for International Self Help (F.I.S.H.) Clinic, has been a cornerstone of healthcare in Papine, Jamaica, since 1985. Established by the late Professor Louis Grant, a renowned social activist and Professor Emeritus of the University of the West Indies (UWI), the Centre began as a community project and has since expanded to serve clients from all parishes of Jamaica.
As a non-profit, charitable organization, the Centre is incorporated under the Companies Act and is an approved charity under the Charities Act of 2013.
